Speed, velocity, and acceleration -
Velocity, speed, and acceleration are all related to the forces that are applied on the ball. The speed of the person running towards the ball, before they kick it, all affects the acceleration. Running faster toward a ball will help you have a stronger kick because of the acceleration. The higher that your acceleration is, the more force will be put on to the ball, like in Newtons second law, force equals the mass times acceleration F=ma.
Speed-
Speed is very important to have in soccer. You need to be fast and also have good endurance. The speed of the ball is determined by how hard the player kicks it. Let's look at an example... Let's say a player is getting ready to shoot on goal, the player has to hit the ball at a certain speed to not only get it where it needs to be, but to also make it harder for the goalie to catch, or reflect it. Speed can determine whether or not a goal is scored. Not only is speed important for shooting the ball, but it is also important while passing the soccer ball as well. It's hard for someone to control a super hard pass, especially when you are in a game in the opponent is coming at you. Your pass really has to be the perfect speed cause not only can it be hard to control if it's too hard, but if it is too soft the other tea could intercept it.
Velocity-
Velocity and velocity vectors have a really big rule in the game of soccer. Velocity is really important when you are in need of crossing the ball over really fast, or even just changing the direction and speed you are running in. The cleats that soccer players have to wear, truly help them tremendously on the field. Your soccer cleats are what give you the friction you need to to stay on your feet when changing direction. Velocity vectors have to be taken in consideration as well. They are important when aiming our shot, and also are important when heading the ball. You have to make sure you are hitting the ball in the correct spot when you are shooting and heading the ball, in order for it to go exactly where you need it to.
Acceleration-
Acceleration is one of the most important parts of soccer. Acceleration is what helps players get past their opponents quickly. Let's say your opponent just happens to have more speed than you, well that should never be a problem is you are accelerating faster than your opponent. If you accelerate faster than them, you can beat them to the spot with no problem. Soccer is the sport that truly is full of sprinting and running as fast as you can. You need really good acceleration to be the best that you can be. Acceleration of the ball is also very important part in soccer. It can determine how fast players have to run to get the ball, and even if the ball will go in the back of the net before the goalie gets it.
